GOD WINS — 2026 Storm Summit Limited Edition is VOLUME 0 — Prequel. It preserves the earliest recorded versions of these songs and marks their first deliberate step into the world.
VOLUME 0 — Prequel is not a demo collection, and it is not simply an advance copy of the future studio album. These are the earliest recorded versions of these songs—captured before later lyric revisions, production refinements and studio polishing. In that sense, these are the “lost recordings” that were never lost: the versions listeners would normally discover years later, deliberately released first.
The later VOLUME I — GOD WINS studio album will carry these songs into their definitive studio form through fully produced, engineered and mastered versions developed beyond the Storm prequel.

When the 2026 Storm Summit was announced—and LifeTales Music President Kevin Toppino knew he would be there in person—it gave him both the time and the reason to let these early recorded versions take an adolescent step into the world.
VOLUME 0 — Prequel is not a demo collection, and it is not simply an advance copy of the future studio album. These are the earliest recorded versions—captured before later lyric revisions, production refinements, and studio polishing. In that sense, they are the “lost recordings” that were never lost—versions listeners might ordinarily discover years later, deliberately released first.
Because these are the earliest recorded versions, listeners may sometimes hear Kevin Hunter’s original lyrics just as they were first penned—before later revisions, polishing, and production refinements. For that reason, a lyric heard on the recording may occasionally differ from the lyric printed in the booklet. The booklet presents the later copyrighted lyric text prepared for publication in the Volume I worldwide studio release of GOD WINS.
It is a gesture of gratitude and camaraderie—and a first introduction to a body of music still growing toward its definitive studio form.
Without the announcement of the Storm Summit, this prequel release would not exist.

Every piece in both editions is individually numbered, from 01 of 80 through 80 of 80 for the CDs and 01 of 30 through 30 of 30 for the flashcards.
The music connects them. The artwork and physical experience make each one its own piece of the Storm.

Only 30 numbered Storm collector flashcards were created for this edition.
The flashcard carries the same nine Storm-era recordings as the CD in a format designed for normal USB playback, including compatible in-car use. It also carries the digital counterpart of the physical package: the complete 12-page booklet and the full-size song artwork collection.
The flashcard also features its own alternate album cover, making this edition an even rarer companion piece within the Storm release.

At a stage of life when becoming a songwriter was about the last thing on his mind, Kevin Hunter began writing songs.
He had not been writing songs. He had not even been writing poetry. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, came Carry the Song.
What followed was far more than an occasional burst of inspiration. Songs, lyrics, melodies and larger bodies of work began arriving with an intensity and frequency Hunter had never experienced before—sometimes daily, sometimes more than once in a day, and across several very different musical directions.
Hunter sometimes uses the word God-smacked as shorthand for the experience, but even that feels too small. In his own understanding, it was a profound spiritual calling—deeply personal, deeply emotional, and powerful enough to alter the course of his life.
Carry the Song came first. From that first song grew the ideas that would eventually become LIBERTY COVENANT and an expanding body of music that demanded to be brought to life.
What began as a song had started becoming something real.
A song may be conceived by a songwriter, but conception is only the beginning.

In a sense, these songs have reached adolescence. They have been conceived, brought to life and nurtured far enough to take their first independent step into the world, while still having room to grow, change and mature.
And some already have.
Carry the Song and Soulmate now exist as fully engineered and mastered studio versions—different recordings from the early versions preserved on VOLUME 0. Those mature studio versions are being held for the next stage of LIBERTY COVENANT’s Lightborn Album Series.
That is part of what makes this prequel unique. A listener may hear an earlier lyric variation, a different performance choice, a different arrangement or another detail that changes as a song grows toward maturity.
Usually, audiences encounter those early versions years later—if they ever hear them at all.
Here, they come first.
What began as words on a page, melodies in a songwriter’s head and recordings stored on a computer can now be heard through speakers, seen in the artwork, held in the hand and carried into the world.
The concept has become reality.
The concept has become reality. But the vision was never meant to end with a recording.
The next chapter of LIBERTY COVENANT is a live one.
The vision is to take the music that began as words, melodies and recordings and place it in the hands of real musicians—building a full-scale seasonal live production around the songs, stories and ideas at the heart of LIBERTY COVENANT.
Envisioned to run from Memorial Day weekend through the Independence Day season, that timing is intentional: a season that begins by remembering those who sacrificed for our freedom and carries us toward the celebration of America’s birthday. The vision is to create an experience that honors God’s grace while celebrating the faith, freedom, history and promise of this wonderful country we call America.
The production would bring together live music, theatrical lighting, visual storytelling, American history, faith, freedom and the shared experience that can only happen when performers and an audience occupy the same space.
The image beneath the CD tray is more than package artwork. It is a picture of the vision yet to be realized—LIBERTY COVENANT no longer existing only through recordings, but standing on a stage as a living band, surrounded by the production those songs were ultimately imagined to inhabit.
The goal is not spectacle for spectacle’s sake, nor is the vision built around chasing some grand commercial prize. The goal is to bring the idea fully to life—to build something meaningful, compensate the people who help create it fairly, and see the vision through.
The songs have been conceived. They have been brought to life. They have taken their first steps into the world. What remains is to take them to the stage.
Some visions are realized by one person. Others require the right people to recognize them.
